Meet Our Founder

Ahmad al-As’ad is a technology-driven leader and the founder of Samya Solutions, a consultancy and agency specializing in digital customer-first data-driven solutions.

History and Career

Ahmad al-As’ad, the founder of Samya Solutions, has a deep-rooted passion for technology that began during his high school years (in Richardson, TX), where he developed an interest in programming languages. Throughout his college journey, Ahmad explored both hardware and software, eventually focusing on software engineering. He embarked on his professional career as a Software Engineer (SWE) for a consulting company with a client base in London, just before the dot-com bubble burst.

Ahmad’s career progressed at Travelocity, back then a company partially owned by Sabre, Yahoo!, and AOL, where he not only honed his skills as a Software Engineer but also took on leadership and management roles. Seeking a similar fast-paced environment, he transitioned to leading teams at “interactive” agencies, working with clients across the pharmaceutical, retail, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors. Notable clients included Mars’ M&M’s, Pfizer’s Lipitor & Celebrex, Coppertone, Barr, Sharp, Pizza Hut, and a a few brands from Procter & Gamble (P&G) like Prilosec OTC, among others.

Driven by his fascination with data-driven customer experiences, Ahmad joined an agency specializing in data and analytics, where he was a technology leader focused on building customer relationship management (CRM) solutions from the ground up, catering to clients such as General Mills, Abbott, and P&G. Intrigued by big data and unstructured data, Ahmad later joined an early-stage company focused on social-listening-as-a-service —a PaaS company.

To consolidate between data & digital and leverage his expertise, Ahmad joined an agency where he was asked to help a major client develop their CRM and address their digital needs (which included building for that brand an in-house digital agency). As his responsibilities grew, he established a department for Data Protection & Compliance and subsequently took charge of IT (desktop support, infrastructure, and connectivity). Effectively, Ahmad was the highest technology leader the agency have had. During this time, Ahmad worked with renowned brands such as State Farm, American Airlines, Topgolf, AT&T, Blue Diamond, GameStop, Victoria Secret, Frito-Lay, Quaker, Dannon, Hilton, Voya, and Nissan, among others.

Ahmad went on to building custom loyalty solutions for clients AMC Theatres, Ascena Retail Group, and William-Sonoma, followed by a leadership role leading digital product management across an eCommerce portfolio for H-E-B, one of the largest (if not the largest) privately held company in the State of Texas.

Throughout his career journey, Ahmad’s passion for technology extends beyond a mere job —it is his hobby and true calling. Having had the opportunity to work with brands, agencies, and consultancies, he gained diverse perspectives on business operations. Ahmad’s extensive experience and expertise form the foundation of Samya Solutions, which combines the strengths of both a consultancy and an agency. The company offers leadership, advisory, and strategic solutions; as well as, tactical, execution, and delivery to meet the unique needs of its clients.

The name “Samya Solutions” itself holds special meaning, as it is derived from the name of Ahmad’s oldest child, Samya, who was named after a paternal aunt that played a significant role in his childhood. Samya Solutions, as a registered domain name, has been in existence since c. 2003. The core values that drive Ahmad’s personal and professional life are deeply embedded in Samya Solutions. These values shape the company’s relationships with clients, partners, and solution experts, and guide its decision-making process.
